In a speech made yesterday, Culture Secretary Maria Miller urged UK organisations to “invest in creativity” and show their financial support for the arts alongside the Government. Meanwhile new research1 carried out for Investec Wealth & Investment, reveals that 40% of British adults believe UK businesses have a duty to step in and plug the funding gap left by Government cuts.

Ombudsman Services to handle complaints about Newspaper Licencing Agency

The Newspaper Licensing Agency (NLA) has joined Ombudsman Services’ Copyright Licensing redress scheme.

This means that customers who buy a NLA licence now have access to independent redress through Ombudsman Services. Customers can complain if they believe the NLA has failed to follow its own code of practice.

So much so that in November 2011 the Chancellor announced the Government’s intention in to undertake a fundamental reassessment of PFI. The result is PF2. But as the name suggests PF2 is not fundamentally different to its predecessor.
