So “Clueless” packed his bucket and spade and left on his holidays, but he left two turkeys before he disappeared.
This week has been a busy week. We saw huge success with our Rein in the IRS Rallies, the Schumer Amnesty bill was unfortunately passed through committee, and the House held another hearing on the IRS scandal. While there is still much work left to be done, there are several people who need to be thanked for their efforts in recent weeks.
Cenex – the UK’s first Centre of Excellence for low carbon vehicle technologies – the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), the Technology Strategy Board and the Carbon Trust, today announced the formal opening of a Technology Showcasing opportunity for UK SME and micro-enterprises developing low carbon vehicle technology. 15 companies will be selected to showcase their innovations for one day at this year’s LCV2013 event, taking place in Millbrook on 4th – 5th September 2013.
– One in five SMEs have been encouraged to expand by the Government’s decision to introduce an Employment Allowance towards employer NI contributions
– A further one in three of SMEs are considering recruiting due to the reduced cost of employment
– Four in ten SMEs have the necessary insurance in place for expansion within their business
According to new research1 from Direct Line for Business (“DL4B”), one in five (20 per cent) Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the UK has been encouraged to expand following the Government’s decision to introduce an Employment Allowance of £2,000 a year towards employer National Insurance (NI) contributions2.
