This week we are at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), one of the largest gatherings of conservative activists on the planet, and we are here in full force! See how we are involved and how you can experience CPAC even if you can't make it here in person!
Why are we here?
Late last year we asked our Local Coordinators how they wanted us to handle events this year. They decided that we should focus on outreach and recruitment in areas that we haven't really ventured before. CPAC is one of those areas. It is not only one of the largest gatherings of conservatives on the planet, but it is one of the largest gatherings of conservative college students who want to engage politically. Our focus this weekend is to reach out to the younger generation and show them why Tea Party Patriots needs them to 'Take Up the Torch' for the sake of America's Future.
What are we doing?
The theme for this week is 'Take Up the Torch' for Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government, and Free Markets. We have many activities that are geared toward college students to help bridge the gap between our core values and the world that they live and breath in every single day.
Pop Culture: Have you read or seen The Hunger Games? This 3 book phenomenon has become a hit among the younger generation. The story is set in what used to be America and it highlights the struggles and contrast between the people who live in their Capitol, the people in the government, and the people in the rest of the nation. Our theme this week was inspired by The Hunger Games and the parallels between this pop-culture phenomenon and the nightmares that are happening in America today.
Welcome to the Capitol Party: A Hunger Games-themed party geared toward college students - costumes are encouraged - and a karaoke contest will ensue.
Main Stage Address: Tea Party Patriots Co-Founder and National Coordinator, Jenny Beth Martin will address the entire crowd from the main stage on Saturday morning.
Break Out Sessions: Throughout the conference, we will have special break out sessions with many of the great people we have had the opportunity to work with over the last several years. People like Dr. CL Gray who inspired The Determinators, our documentary on Obamacare; Caleb Yee & Amanda Robbins who will discuss how to start a campus Tea Party; and many more.
Live Stream and Video Updates: We will have our film crew on hand bringing you live coverage, special interviews, and updates from the entire weekend.
Exciting Release Later this Week: Stay tuned for another exciting first for Tea Party Patriots later this week. You won't want to miss it, so be on the lookout!

Are You Fully Developed?
The Development Party is a fictional political party in our trailer that believes government should provide everything a person needs. This is what a person's development card looks like. We will be handing these out randomly to participants at CPAC so that they can discover how to 'Take Up the Torch!'
You can click the card to stay "Fully Developed" on our activities at CPAC.
