Keep the Internet Free

As the President’s lawless actions on amnesty and Obamacare continue, it’s important for us to stay engaged and hold this Administration accountable. I write today about the latest attempt at government overreach, and what you can do about it.

Very quietly in late October, the Democrat members of the Federal Election Commission (FEC) proposed new regulations that would bring free YouTube videos, bloggers, and even sites like The Drudge Report under government control. This attempt to chill free speech is alarming. As U.S. News & World Report said, Democrat FEC members envision an “Establishment utopia, with only politicians, political parties and the media able to comment purposefully.”[1]

TPP has set up a special page, to “Keep the Internet Free of the FEC.” The public comment period for these new regulations ends Jan. 15, and you can link from our page directly to the comment site.

It is critical that we all make our voices heard and stand up to this latest attempt at government intrusion into our personal freedoms. The Bill of Rights is worthy of protection, even if President Obama’s liberal allies on the FEC want to trample on it.

Please take a few moments and visit our page dedicated to keeping the FEC’s hands off the Internet, and register your opposition to this new assault on freedom. Finally, please forward this to your friends and family and ask them to help us keep the Internet free!

In liberty,
