Here are the hot news items from the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund this week:
• We just announced our endorsement of T.W. Shannon for U.S. Senate in Oklahoma! T.W. is a phenomenal leader, a rock-solid conservative, and a true threat to the D.C. status quo. However, he is facing a hand-picked “moderate” Congressman who has the full backing of the D.C. establishment, and he needs our help to get his grassroots campaign across the finish line. Click here to read our official press statement announcing our endorsement, and click here to make a generous donation and help us support him on the ground in Oklahoma!
• Just in case you needed any more proof that the Republican establishment would rather waste a Senate seat on a “moderate” Republican than nominate a true conservative, Senator Thad Cochran (MS), who once famously said, “I don’t know much about the Tea Party,” just received donations from several Republican “old guard” Senators, including none other than Senator Bob Dole. (Read more about that here: http://www.politico.com/story/2014/04/thad-cochran-gop-105871.html) Cochran’s Tea Party challenger, Chris McDaniel, on the other hand, needs our help more than ever. This race is a virtual dead-heat, but it will only stay that way if we can continue our work on the ground for Chris McDaniel.
• In the month of March, the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) raised $6.35 million. (More on that here: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/apr/8/republican-senatorial-committee-has-big-fundraisin/) And, as we know, a large portion of these funds will be targeted directly against our Tea Party candidates. Establishment thugs like Mitch McConnell and John Cornyn will spare no expense in their efforts to destroy our candidates. This is why the Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund was established – to harness the power of the grassroots and fight back against this financial and political juggernaut that is the GOP establishment. But by the looks of it, we’ve got a hard fight ahead of us this year.
That’s it for the news this week. Thank you for all you do for liberty!
